Today I went with the stripe floral tee from J. Crew paired with a mustard skirt and a denim jacket. This was a toned down blue and yellow from yesterday!

I got this Margaret
Annie Liberty Shirt in the mail yesterday, and I immediately wore it with blue and yellow just to lighten up the world.
As you can see
from the fabric swatch, it's got a multitude of blues, pink, corals, yellow, and greens. Someone online had mentioned that it ran toward mustard, but to me it has more of an overall blue tint rather than yellow--it's not yellow at all compared to the tresco floral.

Today was one of those days where you just feel glad to be alive at the end of it. I had to be at my school at 8:00 AM to supervise a session of the ACT test, which was intense; then we had parent teacher conference. I got home at 7:00 PM. What a day!!
My fashion choices were limited by the school's request that we wear "school attire" to the conference. I went with this cardigan sweater and a fun button-up and jewelry. This was a MUCH more casual look than what I usually wear, but it was at the request of the administration so...there you have it.

Today I went with this floral skirt and cashmere sweater, topped with a Chanel-type jacket. I wore my flower stone bib necklace with this. That last time I wore the necklace, it broke, but I was able to fix it.

I wore this suit to church at our ward and then again to Gif's baby blessing at his ward.
There is a lady in our ward who is, ahem, blunt. When she saw my red tights, she said, "My, I admire how you always add color to everything. I've been afraid to wear colored tights ever since my brother-in-law called them passion-killers." Hmm... What an interesting comment. I was tempted to say that if I ever got to the point where I was taking fashion advice from one of my brother-in-laws, I'd be sure to think of her, but I held my tongue. Ha!

Today was an insanely busy day spent getting ready for my mom and dad to visit from South Carolina. I actually took the day off, but ended up wearing this to greet our guests and go out to eat with them at La Jolla Groves.

I actually did pretty good this month. I only allowed myself the splurge on the Tresco Floral Shirt because I worked a whole Saturday morning judging student writing. I earned it!!!

Today I wore the paisley Talbots shirt and navy Talbots skirt that I picked up for almost next to nothing on eBay. I wore my lavender beads to bring out the slight lavender in the shirt. This seasonless wool navy skirt has been a very good find for the $7 shipped that I paid for it.
