This is my orange outfit of the day. This scarf is light as air and made a good alternative to a necklace. I wore a turquoise watch and jewelry just to give the whole outfit some extra zing. My hair looks a little rough here because it was still wet.

This was my outfit for prom. I thought I looked pretty good in this outfit I got from eBay. This is all vintage Talbots stuff I got cheap.
I was the chaperone, and I was pretty busy all night, but I did get a chance to do a little dancing to the music of the live band we had. Fun, fun, fun.

I dressed pretty casually today as I had the day off due to UVU Graduation. I did do some running around because...
...I am going to prom tomorrow (as a chaperone)!
 I had to get a dress to wear, and that required some errands on my part to get everything I need for it to be just right. I'll post it tomorrow--I'm rather taken with it. It should be a fun chaperone night, as Mark is going to come by for a while, and Caleb is also going. I'll also be the stand-in photographer for Yearbook.
This all looks a little baggy because my clothes are all pretty loose right now as I've lost 13 pounds in 5 weeks. I'm hoping to wash and dry these pants and have them shrink. We shall see.

Today I wore this tweed jacket and skirt as a suit. I didn't originally buy the jacket when I purchased the skirt, but I saw it recently on eBay, so I picked it up (for a very good price, of course). I'm also wearing my styling pink pumps I got from Aerosoles that my students say make me look like Effie Trinket from The Hunger Games.

So I went with some pattern mixing today, pulling it all together with this yellow burlap jacket. I wore a black and white tweed skirt with a floral ruffled black and white shirt and some serious statement necklace action. I actually skipped the bracelets and went with my Feather & Bead Ribbon Belt tied right over the jacket. It actually looked cute as heck like that. I have to give a shout out to my cute little pointy toed yellow flats. Howdy, and welcome back!

As I was typing this in, I realized that tomorrow is my parent's 50th wedding anniversary (out of necessity, we had the big hoopla last month as they are now on a mission in South Carolina). So, Happy Anniversary, mom and dad!!
Today I am wearing a soft lavender silk/cotton cardi with a ruffled tank underneath. I may or may not add the scarf--I'll have to check my mood. This is the first time I've been able to wear these pants in quite a while. Yahoo for weight loss!

Today I went with this favorite green shoreline strip shirt and a peasant top. It actually looked pretty amazing with this belt. Probably my favorite part of this outfit, however, was this jade choker and bracelet I wore that I recently picked up cheap on Ebay. They are genuine semi-precious stones and went well with the jade earrings I picked up at the BYU Imperial Tombs of China Exhibit many moons ago. Because I've had the earrings for a very long time, they are darker than the new set. After time and wearing, they will be the same shade. Wowza.

Today was nice enough to consider wearing this, but I brought along a sweater just in case. It's usually freezing at church, and today was no exception. Since I've lost 10 pounds, this fit and looked good on me!! This was also my first time to wear these gray suede shoes. They are cute, but not particularly comfortable.

I am trying to get some wear out of and experimenting with pieces I've had for a while. This outfit turned out pretty cute, but the silk skirt with bare legs wasn't actually a good choice for today because it was back to freezing again. I felt that the belt was necessary to give some shape to my middle here, otherwise this outfit gave me some extra weight. These shoes I'm wearing here are like chameleons--sometimes they look gray, sometimes they look beige. I'm hoping that will be a good combo with khaki and blue.

This jacket is another new acquisition from Ebay. Chicos sold this jacket last year or the year before for $150 dollars. It was on their TV commercial, and everyone wanted it. The problem was that they advertised it as pink, when it is actually peach toned.  I think it got a lot of returns because of that. Even so, it is a drop dead gorgeous jacket, and when I saw it for $9.99 plus $6 shipping, I couldn't resist. It went beautifully with my peach toned silk flower tank and a ton of  pearls.
