I didn't actually go to work today as I was suffering from the tail end of a little stomach virus. We had tickets to a dinner theater in SLC tonight, so I had to go to that. I ended up wearing the shoes on the left. I tried the shoes on the right, but realized that I just can't wear this high of heels anymore. Ah well. Life is too short to wear shoes that hurt.

We had a huge wind/thunder/lightening/sleet/hail storm last night at 1:30 AM that basically woke up the whole neighborhood. Everyone was talking about it at church today.

The BHW was gone tonight on a scout camping trip, so this is what I wore to take the two younglings out to see The Muppets Most Wanted. I found the movie a mix between laugh out loud funny and just plain silly. I wanted to buy this cardigan to wear for Valentines Day (it DOES have little hearts stitched in), but I waited until now, which was good because I ended up getting it for free from Talbots. This is a pretty casual look as I am still on Spring break.

Pantone Color of the Year - Radiant Orchid

I could have sworn that I saw somewhere that Dazzling Blue was the color of the year, which led to great rejoicing for me, as I love that color of blue. I can also live with this lilac-y purple, but I don't need to rush out and buy it as I already have a lot in this color.

My former backyard neighbor was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. Another neighbor had an open house in her honor tonight so that we could all come and visit with her one last time (she is living in Florida with her daughter now). I wore this very floral outfit in her memory, as she was a fellow gardener and kindred spirit. The item that everyone loved the most were the cute little floral flats I got on eBay.

Spring Break

This whole week is spring break for me, and I need it. Teaching ELD is a demanding job. I did get rehired for next year, which has taken away a lot of the stress for me as far as that goes. As far as this week, I will mainly be wearing workout clothes and gardening grubbies, as it will be a stay at home break for me (got to save money for Machu Picchu this summer!).
I have spent a little time planning outfits. What did we do before Pinterest/Polyvore? I like to let other people do the work and then borrow their ideas. The porcelain paisley skirt and houndstooth skirt need to be altered before I can wear them. That's another thing I can take some time with this week.
